It is a well-organized tour with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 10, along with 1-2 guides, depending on the size of the group. Each participant will be honored to be behind the wheel of one of the famous Wenkstern cars. The departure is from Balea Lac, follow the road on Transfagarasan for about 30 minutes, then return on the same route.
The cars, fuel, helmets (mandatory by the way) and guides are brought by the Hot Rod Fun team. You bring enthusiasm and friends! One of the guides will take pictures and movies, we know you want to have such memories. So you won't have to take out your mobile phones while driving. You will definitely do it when we make a stop to admire the beautiful part of Romania on Transfagarasan and to give you any additional information you may need.
Hot Rod Fun from Germany to Romania
Come and find out how they appeared. The short version: the Wenckstern brothers believed in their dream of developing something that does not yet exist on the streets, and that's how the Wenckstern cars and the Hot Rod Fun concept appeared! Following a close collaboration with TÜV Nord that lasted two years, in 2010 the first vehicle of this type appeared on a road in Hamburg, Germany.
Since then, over 400 vehicles have left the factory, both for the concept of guided tours throughout Europe, but also as unique individual parts purchased by enthusiasts in the field. The concept has been rewarded with various awards over the years, and in 2019 it made its appearance in Romania as well!
Let's go into a little more detail: Wenckstern cars have an engine capacity of 170 cc, 15 HP, a 4.5 liter tank and a maximum speed of 90 km/h. We also add that they have a fiberglass body that weighs only 150 kg, automatic transmission, runs on gasoline and consumes 3 liters per hundred kilometers and has only one seat.
