These sinkholes, some of which house lakes, to which is added the lack of breeze due to the closed basin, favor the formation of a special climatic phenomenon - the Padisan fog. In the evening, when the air cools, the layer of warm air accumulated during the day rises, being lighter. Condensation occurs when the cold air meets, which gives rise to a thick fog. Without the possibility of draining, the fog slowly creeps above the ground, giving an unreal appearance to the landscape.
