Valea Budureasca is located in the area of the first subcarpathian hills, 30 km ENE from the municipality of Ploiesti. The terraces of the Budureasca river include 31 archaeological sites, the densest ancient human grouping in Dacia. The archaeological evidence found nearby suggests that this place has a particularly rich tradition in winemaking, since the time of the Dacians.
It is well known that, on the advice of his high priest, Burebista decided to cut his life. Less known is the fact that he took this decision not only to reduce wine consumption but, above all, to reduce interest in the Dacian territories.
