A kids chocolate workshop is an interactive educational experience that combines learning about cocoa history with guided tasting and hands-on creation. At Luado Chocolate Brașov, children discover the secrets of chocolate through programs adapted for three age levels (5+, 8+, 11+ years), taking home their own creations and sweet memories for life.
Imagine the joy in your child's eyes when they label their first chocolate bar made with their own hands. A kids chocolate workshop isn't just a simple weekend activity - it's a sensory journey through the history and science behind the world's most beloved sweet treat.
What is a kids chocolate workshop
A kids chocolate workshop is a structured educational experience that transforms learning into adventure. Children discover the story of cocoa from tropical plantations to the final product through guided tasting, practical demonstrations and hands-on creative activities.
At Luado Chocolate Brașov, each session is designed to stimulate children's natural curiosity through all the senses. With over 10,000 participants since 2012, the program has been refined to offer the perfect experience for each age group.
How the workshop unfolds by age group
The C05 program (5+ years) lasts 45 minutes and focuses on cocoa through stories and simple explanations, plus guided tasting of four types of chocolate: white, milk, ruby and dark. Children learn what a cocoa tree looks like and why the Aztecs used the beans as currency.
Groups C08 (8+ years) and C11 (11+ years) benefit from 90 and 120-minute sessions respectively, which also include actual work with tempered chocolate. Participants create their own pralines or chocolate bars, which they package and label to take home.

The workshop takes place on the Transilvania University campus in Brașov, a location accessible by public transport. The space is specially designed for educational activities with children, with all the necessary equipment for safely handling tempered chocolate.
Groups are limited to a maximum of 55 people to ensure individual attention and quality interaction. All allergen information is provided in writing before participation, for parents' peace of mind.
